Golfers Favourite Golf Courses

What is the best place in the world for a tee off? This article hopes to point you correctly in that direction so you can look forward to your next overseas vacation that will include something that will keep you occupied while the Mrs Is shopping your year’s bonus away.

You may laugh it off now but this scenario is too close for comfort in the shoes of a married man and before you could take it all in this could be you.

Want to golf your worries away? The options to choose from are endless. The golf tourism industry is booming like never before and has the attention of the whole world as it is now a benchmark for many segments of the industry. It has not only paved the way for hype within the industry but the complementing businesses that go hand in hand with the leisure industry. Here we highlight our most favoured links that have over time remained as the platforms in which the sport has evolved from.

There are over many thousands of golf courses around the world and today countries have even moved to come up with bold business decisions such as‘’ readymade’’ golf courses. That is how lucrative the business is. Not only the developed countries but the emerging countries want a piece of the cake and are working tirelessly to make their mark in the market.

Below should be the golfers favourite golf courses and my favourite is number 1 on the list:

1. The iconic Royal County Down Golf Course in Northern Ireland is the first of many in our catalogue. Rightly so, it boasts of 7,186 yards of playing field for those who dare to attempt a blind shot. It was most recently upgraded by the famous Donald Steel who is now included in the list of celebrity architects who have been privileged to work their magic in these grounds during the past 120 years.

2. Augusta National Golf Club is in the united states of America extends over a land of over 7,000 yards, but that is not what makes this course unique and worthy of being a part of the list. The highlight of its calendar is the annual Masters Tournament, along with an inevitable pause only during WWII.

3. Third as per our preference is Pine Valley (N.J.) Golf Course located in pine valley USA that is home to 7057 yards. It is the brainchild of Founder George Crump who was heavily influenced by famed golf course architects.

4. Cypress Point Club situated again in the USA is Alister MacKenzie's masterpiece and is inclusive of sand dunes and jagged coastlines that seem to provide the challenge many of the players looked forward to. The speciality of this course is that is opted out not to replace its original structure for the new age back tees. So this is considered somewhat a classic among the other courses. It is the ideal place for a good old game of laid back gold to be shared midst good friends.

5. Royal Dornoch Golf Course is considered to be the most beautiful course in the present day and stands in its natural composition with very minimum intrusion to it during the setup process. It is to be the most fun venue and the most favoured by many of the top guns in golf and gives the players a run for their money with the blast of the Dornoch wind.

6. The Royal Melbourne Golf Course is another one of Alister MacKenzie's masterpieces. It is considered to be a snug location in comparison to the other courses available to the public.

7. Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is USA's one of its oldest links that have pioneered many milestones in USA s journey in golf and has extensive remodelling done since its very inception and hosted the 2018 US Open this year.

These are just a few of the beautifully architected landscapes the ardent golf player has access to, as a diligent follower of the sport myself it is very much in my bucket list to visit all if not few of these courses that are sure to be more majestic than any journal or publication have ever narrated it.
